{"id":10714,"date":"2023-09-05T06:00:35","date_gmt":"2023-09-05T13:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.azgfd.com\/?p=10714"},"modified":"2023-09-05T06:00:36","modified_gmt":"2023-09-05T13:00:36","slug":"azgfd-needs-publics-help-solving-poaching-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azgfd.com\/2023\/09\/05\/azgfd-needs-publics-help-solving-poaching-case\/","title":{"rendered":"AZGFD needs public\u2019s help solving\u00a0poaching case"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Reward up to $1,500 available for information\u00a0that leads to an arrest<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Paulden, Ariz.<\/strong> \u2014\u00a0The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) is asking for the public\u2019s help to find the person(s) responsible for illegally killing an adult pronghorn antelope buck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The headless body of the animal was found along Big Chino Road, northwest of the town of Paulden, within Game Management Unit (GMU) 19B, which was closed for pronghorn hunting at that time. AZGFD investigators believe the unlawful killing of the pronghorn happened between Aug. 21-24, 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPoachers are not hunters. They are criminals who steal from wildlife and Arizonans; this is the act of a poacher, not a lawful hunter\u201d, says Darren Tucker, wildlife manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arizona hunters and backcountry recreationists are often the best sources of leads for catching wildlife violators.
